Update

For anyone interested, this is what I'm up to:

I'm currently reading 'The Egyptian Book of the Dead' by E.A. Wallis Budge, I started with a print out of a PDF that I had but I discovered a hard copy at Barnes and Noble and switched to that. My interested in Kemeticism has been aroused and so I've been doing some research into the subject, I've even been putting some of my other studies on the back burner. Shame on me.

The people over at Kemet.org offer a beginners course on Kemetic Orthodoxy and so I decided to apply for that. I haven't heard back from them yet but then I only applied yesterday.

I'm taking a workshop on Working the Tree that Adrianna from OFS is running. That is making me think all kind of things about the Tree of Life, and Qabalah, that I would probably taken my sweet time in thinking. It is great being forces to think about things that you usually wouldn't. I won't get into it yet but I'll say that I'm having fun with this workshop. I've been using Qabalistic Concepts by William Gray as a guidebook. I really should be reading more of the book but I've only been using it as a source when I've had questions. It got bumped by The Book of the Dead.

On my stack of books to read is Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot by Lon Milo DuQuette and The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Woolfolk. DuQuette is fast becoming one of my most favorite occult writers and to be honest, I need help understanding Crowley. I've dreams of actually knowing more about Tarot, especially the Thoth deck, and being able to read the cards without constantly referring to a book. While I'm dreaming, I also want to be able to read a natal chart without a book too. I've lots of dreams!

I'm back... again

Ok, I'm back again.

I think I need blogging. My theory is this - If I don't spew my thoughts and ideas out into the blogosphere and instead keep them all bottled up in my head, I'll explode and take out a whole city, or something.

Actually I've been trying to write and I've discovered that without regular practice I just suck. That doesn't mean that with regular practice that I don't suck but I like to think that I suck less.

My absence from this blog doesn't mean that I was stagnating spiritually, quite the opposite really. I've been delving really deep into Demonolatry in both worship and in demonic magic. On March 21st, during the Rite of Lucifer, I self-initiated myself and became an Demonolator Initiate. Maybe I shouldn't have capitalized that since it really isn't a title but rather just a personal milestone. If I was going to go for a title I'd probably try to pick something that conveyed a certain gravitas without being corny. Super Dark Lord Extraordinaire would be out of the question!

I should really write something worth reading... maybe tomorrow.

Just an update

I have had a busy few days that kept me from posting yesterday. Today isn't shaping up to be any less hectic.

Yesterday I went and donated some plasma then turned around and spent the $20 I got on 'Demonolatry Rites' and 'Ater Votum' from lulu. Hopefully I will get them next week. When I do I'll make sure to get them reviewed.

I've been working on a pronunciation guide for some Demonic Enns that can be found at http://www.ofs-demonolatry.org/enns.htm, I need to get permission first to post them in the Hierarchy Order which I'm working on getting.

I'll leave you with this: Adrianna from OFS youtube channel

What exactly is a Satanist/Demonolater supposed to like like anyway?

Over at Demonolatry Space, there is a group for people who don't look like what people would imagine a Demonolater or Satanist too look like. It has gotten me thinking, since I fit nice and snugly into that category, what exactly is a satanist or demonolater supposed to be like?

I typically wear 'casual wear', as in jeans and t-shirts. During the summer time I can be found in shorts and sandals. I mostly wear light colored shirts. I once owned a black t-shirt that had a baphomet on it, but that got all ink stained when I was working at a printing press many years ago. Now my most exciting black shirt has 'Guinness' written across the chest.

I'm in my mid-twenties, married with kids. I have a mortgage, two cars, two dogs and a trampoline in my backyard. I work diligently at watering my lawn to keep it nice and green. I spent my weekend cleaning out my garage and I work in Law Enforcement.

I do have one tattoo that is covered when I wear any clothing. My left ear is pierced twice; I have to take the rings out when I'm at work; and my nipples are pierced. My hair is classed as 'conservative' by my department and I have a neatly trimmed goatee (some of what you can see from my little picture on the right).

My kids have their friends over to play and have sleepovers. I eat dinner with my in-laws twice a month. I have a gym membership. I spend many hours a week outside jumping on my trampoline. I sew. I'm not artistic in any way or form. I love listening to ABBA and I play disk golf from time to time.

Am I any less a Satanist/Demonolater? No, I'm not. I pray to Satan many times a day, and wear a baphomet under my shirt. I preform some ritual ceremonies a few times a year (not as much as I would like). I believe in magic and practice it. I meditate, practice vampirism and I'm learning the tarot. I do this all while living and looking like an average American guy... fancy that.
